3rd, 4th, and 5th grades
In the upper elementary grades cooperative and adventure games, further practice of manipulative and locomotor skills in enhanced (game) settings, obstacle courses, rhythm and dance, net games, and an introduction to invasion games and fitness concepts occurs. An emphasis is put on movement and activity through exercise, play, practice, strategy, teamwork, gameplay, and skill building. -

Kindergarten, Grades 1 and 2
The early sessions and stages of physical education class present opprtunities to learn and explore spatial awareness, locomotor movements (i.e., walking, jogging, skipping, galloping), dance, manipulative skills (i.e., throwing, catching, kicking), rope jumping, low organizational games, and cooperative games. The foundations developed are used as a basis of knowledge and experience that subsequent skills and practice will enhance and further develop.
